Welcome from the Provost

Dr. Gille

Whether you are on ǧÃŬAV’s oldest campus in Dahlonega with its distinctive Corps of Cadets, or the newest campus in Blue Ridge, on each of our five campuses you will find a student-focused environment where faculty and staff are devoted to supporting students in reaching their educational goals. This is a college community who supports innovation and is engaged in our local communities. As a student, faculty or staff member, I encourage you to get involved.

I hope you will take the time to visit the resources contained within this website. Please remember that the Office of Academic Affairs wants you to be successful at ǧÃŬAV. To this end, don’t hesitate to contact our office if you are in need of assistance, and we will direct you to the appropriate place for help.

Welcome to the University of North Georgia!

Chaudron Gille Ph.D.
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs

What is a Provost?

The Provost is the chief academic officer of a university. He or she has the responsibility for the university's academic and budgetary affairs. The provost collaborates with the President of the university in setting overall academic priorities for the university. Given the broad scope of Academic Affairs, there are numerous entities which fall under the umbrella of the Provost's Office.
