6.9 Feed - News

The "Feed-News" block pulls in teasers of ǧÃŬAV news articles. The feed can pull in articles based upon keywords or campuses selected when configuring the block.

The "Feed-News" block is a great way to have updated content appear on pages automatically.

Important Note: Only one feed - news block per page

Example

A 'live' web page that is using a news block. The block is outlined and has an arrow pointing to it, clicking will take you to the Cadet Admissions web page

The diagrams below will help you determine where this block can be used. The "Y" inside the box, green yes square, means this block can go in to this column or space. The ''N' inside the box, red no square means this block can't go in this column or space.

Flex Page with No Sidebar

The news block may be used in any column except a one column section on the flex page with no sidebar template.

2/3 column is OK if display images-left is used

Naming Convention

  • Name of block should always begin with fd-news-

Please be sure to double check your naming structure to ensure there are no spaces in between any words or dashes. Any space in the name will disrupt the functionality of your block.

Correct: fd-news-fall-signup

Incorrect: fd - news-fall-signup
