6.7 Feed - Events

The "Feed-Events" block can pull information from and display it on a webpage.

How to Request an Events Feed

To use this block,  to discuss the steps needed, as they vary from case to case and require coordination with those entering events. You will need to have your events already input into Master Calendar, in addition to other steps, before the webteam can create a feed.

A 'live' web page that is using a event block. The block of content is outlined and has an arrow pointing to it, clicking will take you to the Gainesville Campus web page

Styles & Usage

The style types that are available for this block are listed below:

Type 1: Events Single Feed - Date on Left Option

Type 2: Events Single Feed - Vertical Option

Type 3: Events Multiple Feeds

The diagrams below will help you determine where this block can be used. The "Y" inside the box, green yes square, means this block can go in to this column or space. The ''N' inside the box, red no square means this block can't go in this column or space.

Events Single Feeds

Flex Page with Sidebar

The single event block may be used in any column on the flex page with sidebar template.

Only vertical option should be used in a sidebar.

Events Multiple Feeds

Naming Convention

  • Name of block should always begin with fd-events-

Please be sure to double check your naming structure to ensure there are no spaces in between any words or dashes. Any space in the name will disrupt the functionality of your block.

Correct: fd-events-fall-signup

Incorrect: fd -events-fall-signup
