Major in a Minute Middle Grades Video

By earning a Bachelor of Science with a major in Middle Grades Education graduates will be prepared to teach grades four through eight. Middle level candidates specialize in two teaching field concentrations from math, science, social studies and language arts. ǧÃŬAV's Middle Grades program, one of the few in the state of Georgia, provides students with one of the most immersive teaching experiences.

The most beneficial thing about being a Middle Grades education major at ǧÃŬAV is all the support and the amount of experience you gain.

Along with four semesters of teacher education training students also get 120 hours of practicum and one-year long internship. Candidates are involved in pre-planning, open house, parent-teacher conferences, School duties, sponsoring student activities and numerous other teacher responsibilities.

Summer Scholars is a program that just gives more enrichment opportunities to students in the Middle grades. My favorite part was getting to teach the students.

Teacher candidates graduate from the Middle Grades program with the competence and confidence for starting their career as a Middle Grades teacher.
