Overview
Dr. Craig Greathouse joined ǧÃŬAV in the Fall of 2007 with the introduction of the International Affairs major. He received his degree B.A. and M.A. in political science from the University of Akron and his Ph.D. in political science from the Claremont Graduate School in 1999. His fields of expertise are security and defense policy and European politics; he teaches numerous courses in these areas at the undergraduate and graduate level. He has had several articles published on defense and security policy and on European politics.
While at ǧÃŬAV he has twice been recognized with Information Literacy grants for innovative teaching within the classroom. Currently he is the graduate advisor to all students in the MA in International Affairs program and to students in the European concentration for the International Affairs major. Dr. Greathouse spends part of his free time designing and running simulations of the international system. He has helped design and present these simulations to the National Defense University, teachers groups, and elements of the U.S. military.
