ǧÃŬAV Night at Braves is Sept. 7

University of North Georgia (ǧÃŬAV) students, faculty, staff, alumni, family, and friends will have a chance to enjoy an Atlanta Braves game together for the fourth year in a row. The ǧÃŬAV Alumni Association is sponsoring its fourth annual for Atlanta's Sept. 7 game against the Toronto Blue Jays, which is set for 7:20 p.m.
More than 2,000 tickets are available for those connected with ǧÃŬAV to attend the game at Truist Park in Atlanta. The seating is in sections 410-417.
Individual tickets of up to nine guests are $25 each and can be purchased on the . For groups of 10 or more, tickets are $23 each and can be purchased by calling 706-864-1547 or by stopping by the Alumni Relations office at 70 Alumni Drive at ǧÃŬAV's Dahlonega Campus. All proceeds will benefit the ǧÃŬAV Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association encourages everyone to wear their ǧÃŬAV blue and gold to the Braves game.
The event was initiated by ǧÃŬAV Alumni Association board members Nick Miller and James Wright just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Having to pivot for safety, the event was first held in 2021 on Sept. 11 when the Braves faced the Miami Marlins. ǧÃŬAV Night at the Braves featured games against the Philadelphia Phillies in 2022 and the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2023.
Luncheon honors scholarship recipients
Five nontraditional female students at ǧÃŬAV each earned a $2,000 scholarship from the Women of ǧÃŬAV on Dec. 5 at the Women's Holiday Scholarship Luncheon.
Grads prepare for their next steps
ǧÃŬAV will award almost 1,000 degrees and certificates this fall, and more than 600 graduates are scheduled to take part in the Dec. 7 commencement ceremonies.

The Alumni Association has announced this year's '20 under 40' honorees, recognizing members of the ǧÃŬAV family for their personal and professional accomplishments or their distinguished service.
Five alumni selected for veterans HOF
Five ǧÃŬAV alumni are part of the 14-member class of 2024 inductees into the Georgia Military Veterans' Hall of Fame.
