Former University of North Georgia (ǧÃŬAV) baseball player Chase Sudduth has continued his baseball career when he signed with the Washington Wild Things of the Independent Professional Baseball Federation (IPBF).

The second baseman from Powder Springs, Georgia, signed with the team on June 21 and made his debut two days later. He collected his first professional hit June 26, with a single in the bottom of the third against Lake Erie.

For ǧÃŬAV, Sudduth earned first team All-Peach Belt honors in his senior season and was a consensus second team All-Region player. He hit .321 as a Nighthawk, tallying 11 homers, 21 doubles and six triples to go with 61 RBI. In 2019, the infielder had 23 multi-hit games, including 12 with three or more hits.
