The Post Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of North Georgia is a degree program for foreign-educated physical therapists who are not licensed in the United States.

For Post Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy program applicants only, complete .

When completing the Post Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Application:

  • if you do not have a social security number, enter “000-00-0000”.
  • if you are not living in the United States or Canada, select “Other/None” for State/Province.
  • if you do not have a visa, enter “none”.

The $40 application fee is non-refundable and must be paid when submitting the application. If you do not have an international credit card or US based bank account, please contact Graduate Admissions at grads@ung.edu for assistance in submitting your application.

We have had a number of questions regarding the required international transcript evaluation. You may use any , including WES.  There is a note on the application that WES is not accepted. This is only for those applying to our Georgia Certified teacher certification programs. This does not apply to applicants to the Post Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy program. We have had a number of questions regarding the Certificate of Financial Responsibility and required documentation.  Please note, it is the applicant's responsibility to demonstrate that sufficient funding is available to meet all university and living expenses for the course of study.

  • Download and complete the Certificate of Financial ResponsibilityMail originals to the address above. Scanned/emailed/faxed copies will not be accepted.
  • Sources of financial support or a bank statement verifying that the applicant has a sum of at least $34,500 USD for the first academic year (two semesters), exclusive of travel expenses, are required.
  • Verification must be received directly from the bank or financial institution in a sealed envelope, mailed to the address above. Personal copies and photocopies will not be accepted. Scanned/emailed/faxed copies will not be accepted.
