Overview

Becky Cruz was born to Mexican parents in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and has lived the majority of her life in North Georgia. She started her college career at Gainesville State College and went on to earn her associate degree in communication in 2012. She returned to the Gainesville campus in 2014 and graduated from ǧÃŬAV with a Bachelor of Arts in communication with concentration in organizational leadership. While at ǧÃŬAV, Becky was involved in the National Communication Association's honor society, Lambda Pi Eta and represented ǧÃŬAV at numerous conferences.

She has once again returned to the Gainesville campus, which she holds near and dear to her heart and is serving as the Recruiter and Outreach Coordinator for the College Assistant Migrant Program (CAMP). She understands the struggles of first-generation college students when it comes to navigating the college process and is committed to helping students make a smooth transition from high school to college. She enjoys sharing her personal ǧÃŬAV experience and all of the benefits that come from being a part of the family that is CAMP.

When she is not recruiting, Becky enjoys traveling, going to concerts and spending time with friends.
