Biology - Tyson Foods, Inc

How did you hear about your internship?

I participated in the College and Careers Program at the International Production and Processing Expo in January. While there, I interviewed with a bunch of poultry companies and received internship offers from several. I chose Tyson for my internship.

What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?

It was great to see everything I had learned in POUL2020 be put into action. There is so much value in doing the hands on learning in a real life situation. My favorite part of the internship was having the opportunity to work in every department in the processing plant and field. I really got to see every aspect of growing and processing chickens.

How will this help you in the future?

I have a job!!! At the end of my internship, I was offered a position with Tyson Foods in Cumming. I will start in their operations management program as soon as I finish my BS Biology.
